Our heroes

Twelve UF College of Medicine-Jacksonville employees were among the 30 Health Care Heroes honored by the Jacksonville Business Journal in November. The college boasted more honorees than any other health organization in the city. In addition, longtime pediatrics chair Thomas T. Chiu, M.D., M.B.A., was honored with the Lifetime Achievement award and received two standing ovations from the packed house at the Jacksonville Marriott. The other honorees included: Dominick Angiolillo, M.D., Ph.D., Ann M. Usitalo, Ph.D., Melissa Scites, R.N., Nizar F. Maraqa, M.D., Mark L. Hudak, M.D., Madeline M. Joseph, M.D., Kenyatta Y. Lee, M.D., Michael Haas, Ph.D., Mobeen H. Rathore, M.B.B.S. (M.D), Robert M. Levy, M.D., Ph.D., and Andrew J.
